Admission & Operating Schedule

Admission to the Halton County Radial Railway includes unlimited historic streetcar rides on two kilometers of scenic track, which stops at our famous ice cream shop (approximately a 20 minute ride), access to the grounds, display barns and historic Rockwood Station. No admission is required to our Gift Shop where guests can find unique railway inspired gifts and tasty treats.

Hours
Weekdays (July & August ONLY): 11:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday & Holidays (First Saturday in May to last Sunday in October): 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Events outside of these hours are adjusted annually.

Please note: The last ride leaves 30 minutes before closing.

2011 Admission Rates*:
Adults - $11.50
Seniors (65+) - $10.25
Youth (4-17) - $8.75
3 years & under and 90+ - Free
Family Rate (five with no more than two adults) - $33.00
Caboose Ride - $2.50/person

Event Rates*:
Ice Cream & Starlight Shows - $8.25/person
Halloween Evening Shows - $10.25/person
Christmas on the Rails - Regular rates as listed above

Evening Group Bookings
 Evening bookings are for an event after regular operation hours. A $75 surcharge is required at least three
days before the event. Normal admission rates are required on the day of the event.

Daytime Group Bookings
 Daytime bookings are for an event during regular operation hours. No deposit is required.

Parties
We have three options for parties held at the museum.

  1. Back Room of the Welcome Centre – A $25 fee for a three hour booking, plus regular admission rates
    per person.
  2. Rockwood Station – A $25 fee for a three hour booking, plus regular admission rates per person.
  3. Caboose – A $40 fee for a two and half hour booking, plus regular admission rates without the
    premium fare. The caboose ride includes one hook-up and a return trip to the east end. Times
    available for the caboose are 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Only a maximum of
    twenty people is allowed.

Children’s Birthday Parties
 A flat rate of $7/person (no matter what age) is required. Bring your own decorations, party materials and
food. Snack Bar items are available at prevailing rates.

Wedding & Engagement Photography
 Flat rate of $40 for the grounds, no rides included. If rides are required, regular admission rates applicable
per person, as well as the $40 flat rate fee.

Photography Opportunities
 A rate of $25 plus regular admission rates per person for photography groups is required.
